A mentor is an experienced person who acts as a role model, guide or leader. They have experience in the work world and/or community involvement, and share this experience, advice and encouragement with students. These students are in the process of determining their future post-school options. Mentors suggest resources that students can access and may help the students to make links between career and community interests.
Mentors help bridge the gap between the classroom and career or community opportunities.
